Welp my brand is called Unorganized & Lost for a reason.
Today was a perfect depiction of that. Went to the wrong airport 45 minutes away. Luckily we had befriended our driver from earlier trips and Dad was able to call him immediately and he hadn’t left the airport yet. He was then able to take us to the correct airport, which btw was only 10 minutes from our hotel…oops
After driving about 30-35kph faster than he had to the original/wrong airport, we made it to the correct airport an hour and 10 min before we’re supposed to take off. When we went to check in our bags it said it was too late - see agent. I was in the line and my Dad went to ask the agent at the front of our line if we were in the correct line. We were not. This awesome lady left her post and walked us to the correct area where she took over the station and checked our bags in for us. What an angel.
We then had to make it through security and then customs out of Argentina. Luckily it was pretty seamless so we were able to get some snacks and everything before our flight. Our gate was moved but it wasn’t an issue, then we took the bus to the plane and walked up the stairs to the aircraft. Flight one was successfully made.
Now we had to land in the international terminal at Santiago Chile with about 3 hours till our next flight. We then had to go through customs, pick up our baggage, walk to the domestic terminal, check in our bags, go through security and make it to our gate in time. God was once again on our side because there were no real lines and we had time to eat our first real meal of the day.
On to our last flight to Puerto Natales, Chile, we went.
Made it! After landing I was able to hold a 4-5 week old golden retriever puppy named Sophie in the Patagonia.
Arrived at our hotel - Remota Patagonia Lodge. The style is quirky with the most amazing views!
(The guanaco - looks similar to an alpaca - doll in the pic below is what our room key is attached to haha)
