Sunday was our last day in Buenos Aires and we had no plans. We relaxed again in the morning, then we decided to go to one of the larger parks in Buenos Aires. We were walking around and Michelle remembered that there was an old zoo in the area, so we looked it up. It was close so we walked there. When we arrived we found that they had turned it into an “EcoPark”. There were still some animals there (giraffe, hippo, bison, cougar, ultimes, etc.) but now it was a sanctuary for animals that they can’t return to the wild. It was a nice place to visit, and there was no charge to enter.
We also wandered around the Parque Tres de Febrero some more.
Afterwards, e decided to visit the stadium of the largest soccer club in Buenos Aires. - River Plate, where my cousin’s daughter Eliane joined us. There wasn’t a game that day, but we were able to eat at the restaurant that overlooks the field. Very cool.
Once we returned to the hotel, we packed and went to bed early to prepare for the 3:30am wake-up call.
