A Day at the River

Saturday we had a quiet morning relaxing at the hotel. At noon, my cousin Esteban and his family took us to a nice area north of Buenos Aires called Tigre. It’s a town at the mouth of the delta created by the Rio de la Plata and has many restaurants and shops by the small tributary. We ate another great meal and enjoyed the view.
After lunch we went to look at a beautiful church in the town. As we entered, we realized that people were arriving for a wedding, and they were already playing some music. After admiring the church and taking pictures, we left before the ceremony. we found out later that Esteban’s daughter knew the bride, and even sent us pictures of the wedding. Small world
(Not too many people can say they crashed a wedding in Argentina😂)
We drove to the mouth of the river to admire the view. What we say were more kite surfers in one place than we’ve ever seen. Very cool to watch.
Finally, we went for “tea” at a local coffee shop before they took us back to the hotel (at about 8pm). When they left, they went to a friend’s house for dinner! The people are definitely on a different timetable than us.
